MACRON is committed to GIVE back to the society, one of the core values that we hold very dear to.
Chung Shin elementary school is a one of the public schools in the heart of Taichung city. The school celebrated its 63rd anniversary in December 2019. The outdated facilities are in urgent needs for a makeover. When we first met the school principle, the school has already secured a fund for a library renovation, but it was just enough to do basic remodeling. The benefit of quality lighting has been largely neglected by the public sectors in Taiwan, and Macron sought this opportunity to challenge the norm.
We provided the lighting solution to the school library as part of our forty-year memorial donation. We designed the lighting installation to: 1. provide superb lighting environment for students to read, 2. create an ambience that is friendly, inviting, and fun, and 3. conform to the conceptual intent of the architect. The end result has been received overwhelmingly by the students, school, parents, and the public. We are glad to participate in this project.

忠信國小是台中西區的一所公立小學。學校於2019慶祝成立 63週年，校舍與許多設施在過去這幾年的翻新後，已大幅改善舊有環境。校方規劃的圖書室更新案，因爭取的經費有限，不足以提供完整的設計裝修與照明設計，Macron 決定藉此機會，替學生們打造一個培養美學及兼具兒童視力保健的閱讀環境。
Macron以此計畫作為總公司四十週年紀念專案，我們向學校提供了完整的照明方案。整體空間結合「舒適閱讀的照明」、「友善、吸引人且趣味的光環境」、「與建築設計良好的搭配」這三個要素，造就了「閱讀行旅」嶄新的圖書環境。「閱讀行旅」良善的閱讀空間，受到學校的學生、師長與大眾的認同和讚賞。我們很榮幸能參與這個項目。
