About
HOBBY Light !

Youʼve beaten your friends in the pre-order race for the limited edition Iron Man. Youʼve spent every evening of the last two months assembling your battleship. Youʼve purchased the latest spray nozzle to create an impeccable paint job for your Perfect Grade Gundam. Youʼve finally brought home the vintage Zippo lighter that was the missing piece of your collection.

Those are stories we can relate to and that have significant meaning to us.

At HOBBYLight, we believe those important items should also be displayed in a way that reflects their significance. That is why we are dedicated to bringing you museum-quality lighting to display your collection.

HOBBYLight was founded in 2012 by a group of model enthusiasts and lighting experts.

For years display lighting inside cabinets has been dominated by three major types of light sources: fluorescent lamps, LED light bars and halogen spotlights. The three light sources do a good job in bringing light to the displayed items but they fail in bringing the contrast needed to enhance the aesthetics of the collection. Therefore we believe a more dedicated lighting system is needed in the lighting display market.
Thanks to the latest technology in solid-state lighting, LEDs allow us to create luminaries so compact that they would be deemed impossible only years ago. Before we started designing our products we researched extensively. We spent much time visiting galleries, museums, shopping centers and even car dealerships for inspiration. From our experiences we learned that motor vehicles are best displayed with ambient lighting to show the beautiful paint job. Small figurines are best showcased in a confined space to enhance their value and presence. While action figures are best lit with spotlights to reveal their physique and facial expression. “Museum-quality lighting” is the phrase most often used to praise our line of products. We are determined to make installation of our lights easy and straight-forward so that our customers can enjoy quality lighting without needing to be experts in electrical wiring.
No more dark corners for your Skywalker. No more cheap acrylic case for your Lamborghini. No more stack of boxes for your vintage baseball cards. Now would be the perfect time to show your collection with pride by lighting it up with HOBBYLight luminaries.
