Where should I use the miniature track lights?

Our miniature track lights are designed to fit into your display cabinets. Whether you are a retail shop or a hobby enthusiast, we understand the importance of the items that you put into your display cabinets, and that's the very reason behind our design concept. If you think your displayed items would look even better with dedicated spot light, then that will be a good place to install our miniature track lights.


What's the difference between your miniature track lights and the traditional LED light bars? Isn't all light the same?

While traditional fluorescent lamps and LED light bars work well in lighting up the cabinet, their shape of light is plan and omni-directional. In other words, the white cabinet walls get the same amount of light as the limited edition vintage zippo lighter. In contrast, our miniature track lights are spot lights that focus on the displayed items, resulting in a greater depth of field that's more pleasing to the eyes.
 
 
Where can I purchase the products? Can I find them in retail stores?
 
So far all HOBBYLight products are only available at our web store in Japan, and we encourage you to pay our web store a visit if you are in Japan.
We have sales personnels who are busy setting up our dealer network, and in 2015 we will start exhibiting in trade shows. We will gradually expand the number of our retail outlets and bring our products to enthusiasts around the world.
 

Where do you ship?
 
Currently we only ship to addresses in Japan, but we are doing the best we can to setup a global web store that will enable us to ship to more countries. We encourage you to sign up for our newsletter for the latest updates.
 

I haven't received my products, what should I do?
 
A tracking number is provided to our customer when the package is shipped. Depending on the shipping method that you choose, you may go to the carrier's website and enter the tracking number to check out the progress of the shipment. In an unlikely event that you haven't received the package within the stated time frame, please send us a message, and we will be very happy to assist you.
 

Where are the products manufactured?
 
All HOBBYLight products are sourced and manufactured in Taiwan.
 

How do I install the track lights?
 
An installation diagram is included in the package, but you may also find the it in the following link:

We highly recommend that you use the 3M VHB tape included in the package if you are to install the track lights on glass. On the other hand, the screws would better secure the fixture when installed on wooden surfaces.
 

I am not an electrician, does it require any electrical wiring?
 
Nope, and that's the beauty of our products. All HOBBYLight products were designed to be installed safely and easily, and all you need to do is to open the box, secure the fixture, plug in the power supply, and turn on the light.
 

I am a cabinet manufacturer, and I am interested in putting the miniature track lights into my products, what's your suggestion?
 
Due to the compact size of our miniature track lights, the lights can be integrated into the cabinet without taking much space. In fact, the cabinet and track lights would look the best united when the tracks submerge into the pre-fabricated track slots. Please contact us, and we will be happy to provide you with more detailed combination methods.
 

What's your warranty policy?
 
All HOBBYLight products come with a standard 2-year limited warranty. If in a rare case that your product malfunctioned under normal use within the period of warranty, we will replace the broken unit with a new one for free. Can I use my other power adapters to power my HOBBYLight product?
 
No. The HOBBYLight Display Cylinder and Ambient Light Display Case operate with an input voltage of 12V, while the Miniature Track Lights require a 24V input voltage to operate. Using a voltage higher than the stated voltage of the product may cause heat, and excessive heat could turn into fire, so please always use the dedicated power supply units to power the products. We understand that you may have many power adapters on hand, but not all power units have the same voltage and current output. Therefore, DO NOT cross-use your power supply units.
 

What is your return policy?
 
If for any reason you don't like what you've purchased, we are glad to take your return within 7 days of purchase.
 

I need to use a lot of the miniature track lights to decorate my retail shop, do you give any discount to bulk order?
 
Yes. In fact, the Miniature Track Light commercial pack will come out later this year. It will feature a 100W power supply unit, 20 tracks, and 50 lamps. Since the package is not available at this moment yet, if you need many miniature track lights to decorate the cabinets of your store, please contact us.
