RMA Policy

Warranty Service
Overview



01UIC has established the following guidelines to provide customers the best support and shortest turn-around time possible.


02UIC’s products are entitled to a 14 months complete and prompt warranty servicefrom UIC’s invoice date.


03UIC provides +1, +2 and +4 years extended warranty service to help customers manage their maintenance budget in advance. Extended warranty can be purchased along with your product order.
 






Warranty
Limitations



The product’s warranty is limited to the followings only

Products provided by UIC.

Defects in materials and/or workmanship, which occur during normal use.

To the original consumer purchaser and to no other purchaser or transferee.

Exclusion from warranty

Consumable parts such as : paper, ribbon, spare parts or service.

Warranty will be voided if the original warranty or serial number label on the product is broken or removed by accident or intentionally.

Product is found to be expired from its warranty period.

Product has been misused, abused, or subjected to unauthorized disassembly/modification; placed in an unsuitable physical or operating environment; improperly maintained by the customer.

RMA Service


UIC commit all return units including all repaired and replacement components will be repaired or replaced by the same level or higher level units / components. Customer agrees the ownership passed by sending party since the related units/components been served by UIC.In the event, if UIC unable to provide quality services, UICwill refund the value of the service part.

UIC only furnish RMA service in compliant with “UIC Warranty Policy”during the contract period.

Service Period and Charges (in warranty)


DOA service is limited to 45 days from product’s Invoice day.
UIC will repair/swap the defective unit free of charge tobuyer for DOA or in warranty service.
UIC pays for the round trip freight cost for DOA and pays for outbound freight cost for in warranty service.

Service Period and Charges (out of warranty)


UIC offers 5 years RMA service from UIC’s invoice date.

If the units can be repaired, repair service and round trip freight cost are at customer’s expense. UIC will issue a quotation to buyer,uponcustomer’s approval, UIC will repair the units and send back to buyer.

If the units are non-repairable, choices for customer are:

Pay for the diagnostic and disposal charge at customer’s expense, or

Pay for the diagnosticandoutbound freight cost at customer’s expense.

Turnaround Time & Others


Turnaround Time: UIC will complete the repair within 10 working days upon receiving the defective unit. Due to component availability, the estimated lead-time of 10 working days may vary.

Repair Warranty: Repair warranty is limited to 1 yearfrom itsoutbound shipping day and the warranty is limited to the repaired portions only.

If RMA unit is checked to be “No Defective Found” (NDF), buyer shall pay UIC for the NDF fee.

Force Majeure


Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform any obligationshereunder arising from the acts of God; act of a public enemy; acts of anti-government authority; fires, floods, explosion, or other catastrophes; strikes and embargoes causing delays in transportation; inability to procure raw material; or any other cause beyond its reasonable control. Each party shall give the other party notice of any event of force majeure mentioned above within thirty (30) days after such party has known of such event.
